President and CEO, Measurement & Controls
Rami Qasem is President and CEO, Measurement & Controls for Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE). A company officer, he previously served as President, Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and India (MENATI) for BHGE. Prior to the launch of BHGE in July 2017, Qasem served as President and CEO for GE Oil & Gas’s Middle East, North Africa and Turkey region.
Qasem began his career at General Electric (GE) in 1997 in the Bently Nevada business and has held several leadership roles throughout his 23+ year career with the company. He served as GE Energy’s Senior Executive and General Manager for Energy Services in Middle East and Africa. In this role, Qasem managed Power Generation Services and Repair, Transmission & Distribution, Monitoring and Control Solutions and Industrial Services.
Qasem also served as the Regional Power Systems Sales Director for the Africa, India and Middle East region. In 2004, he assumed the role of GE Energy's Region Executive for the Gulf Countries. Following this role, Qasem was named Global Sales General Manager for GE Energy's Optimization and Control business.
Qasem earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
