The Baker Hughes, a GE company
(BHGE) LW-7 density modifier is an
ultralow-density glass bead available in various crush ratings. It is used to design the BHGE LiteSet™ system cement slurries, which can be mixed with minimal water increases. This modifier was developed for use across weak formations where low hydrostatic pressures and high early compressive strengths are required. The modifier was developed especially for primary cementing applications in wells not exceeding 18,000 psi (124.1 MPa) hydrostatic pressure, but can be used at higher pressures in slurry designs that compensate for losses due to crush.
