Reliable pumping for high pressures, elevated temperatures, and fluids with low specific gravity

  • The enhanced DDHF is a multi-stage centrifugal pump with double casing and barrel-type, back-to-back arrangement. It is based on our hydraulic design, proven over several decades in reactor charge and boiler feed applications, but specially re-engineered for carbon capture and storage (CCS) and enhanced oil recovery (EOR). 

    It delivers 550 bar discharge pressure — one of the highest ever provided by a centrifugal pump.

    Well-suited for onshore and offshore applications, the DDHF is ABS certified for floating production storage and can be fully integrated with BHGE’s high-pressure centrifugal compressors for CO2 management. Our latest API 10,000 barrel design was developed using finite element analysis to avoid resonance in structural and foundation natural frequencies, and stringently tested at every stage of the design and manufacturing process.

    The DDHF pump family is engineered to integrate API 682 compliance mechanical seals with relevant flushing system integrated within skid edges. BHGE’s barrier fluid seals (up to 550 bar) and dry gas seals in tandem configuration have been dynamically qualified for CO2 pumping at our dedicated CO2 test bench in Bari.

Popular options include: modifying impellers and volutes to match actual operating conditions, destaging, upgrading wear rings with new composites to reduce internal leakage and increase efficiency, super-finishing internal wetted surfaces to increase efficiency.

    Remote performance enhancement
    Advanced remote monitoring and diagnostic services are available to improve operating efficiency and avoid unplanned downtime.
